I always swore I wouldn’t be one of those girls who dumped all her friends when I found myself a boyfriend. And I’m not, I didn’t. But somehow, I ended up alone anyway. My boyfriend is now my best friend. He is now my closest friend. and it feels like he’s my only friend anymore..
I got dropped by everyone for no reason. All my friends I loved. Now they go out, they have a good time, they do this and that, and yeah good for them.. But you know, I always thought some of ‘em would stick in there with me. Or at least one of them.
I’m hurt by the lack of respect. So I fell in love with an amazing guy, and I spend a lot of time with him, yeah, I do. But nobody really knows how lonely having no friends is, until it happens to them. Its really just.. Unfair. And you know what’s even more unfair? That I sit and think about it, that I’m hurt by the loss of my so called best friends, while I’m honestly not sure anybody else could give two shits about it.
So yeah, I have no friends anymore. I barely talk to anyone at school. I only hang out with Austin and his friends. But is that my fault?
No. Its carelessness and heartlessness. But more than that, its the one that thinks they are some kind of better than me now, above me, higher class than me.
My message to you: cool. Good for you. If you’re happy with yourself, keep on being happy with yourself. Whether you know how much you hurt me or not, that’s on you.
I have less than 18 more weeks of high school left. I can make it, right? Right. Nothings gonna be the same anymore, I’m not going to try or beg anyone to come back to me, and I’m not going to be hurt over my losses anymore. Life goes on, and I am no longer worried about the people who aren’t really, truly there for me.
